We are seeking a dedicated Application Operations Manager with a strong IT background and technical knowledge in application maintenance and operations.
The team: You’ll be part of the system team that provides core infrastructure, DevOps tooling, monitoring and supports development & test automation and platform operation for SD Network solutions. It creates platform and environments for development, solution demos, user acceptance testing and production.
Specific responsibilities for ServiceNow Application Operations Manager:
▪ Supporting ServiceNow development teams with guidance to ensure efficient use of the platform and product features.
▪ Collaborate with the System Team to provide core infrastructure, DevOps tooling, and support for development, test automation, and platform operation.
▪ Measure, analyze, and monitor IT infrastructure or applications for availability and
performance, particularly within ServiceNow.
▪ Offer technical support for incidents, interface configuration, and coordinate with external partners to resolve ServiceNow system-related problems.
▪ Implement changes such as new services, releases, upgrades, and maintenance work to modernize the ServiceNow infrastructure based on organizational needs.
▪ Develop and refine policies, processes, and procedures for operations management,
including documentation and implementation.
▪ Oversee the maintenance and operations of various tools, ensuring adherence to monitoring procedures, activities, best practices, and effective ticket resolution.
▪ Conduct root cause analysis and debugging to address underlying issues in system
performance.
Experience and skills required:
▪ Relevant degree in IT or related field.
▪ Proven experience in a similar role (5+ years), with a focus on application operations and maintenance.
▪ Strong IT background with technical knowledge in key areas pertinent to application
maintenance and operations.
▪ Experience to oversee operations and support of a very large and active ServiceNow environment.
▪ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis and
debugging.
▪ Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and server authentication methods (esp. MID server architecture, firewalls, SSO)
▪ Proficiency in English; German language proficiency is a plus.
▪ Experience in ServiceNow platform operation and support is preferred.
