Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Support Engineer to join our DevOps-as-a-Service product team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key member of the DevOps team, supporting our DevOps-as-a-Service product which offers a best-of-breed toolchain to our customers
• Provide assistance to customers, addressing their issues and service requests effectively
• Apply bug fixes and patches and manage the release of new versions of tools
• Use modern logging and monitoring tools to ensure service availability
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines to enhance development processes
• Contribute to the development of new functionalities and features
• Create, manage, and operate new customer instances, ensuring stability, reliability and availability
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in IT
• Experience working in distributed agile projects (Scrum, Kanban) using tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Hands-on experience and strong proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), especially in configuring server applications and databases for containerization
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Bash and Git
• Experience with web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers (HAProxy, Nginx)
• Good knowledge of protocols such as TCP, UDP, SSL, TLS, DNS, HTTP
• Understanding of firewalls, networking, and security
• Experience with backups and data migration (Dumps, CSV, XML, JSON)
• Experience with one or multiple cloud platforms (OTC, Azure, AWS, GCP), particularly at the IaaS level (Compute, Storage, Network) for UI and API management
• Admin-level experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins with a willingness to expand this knowledge
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Loki
• Knowledge of Docker Registry, Harbor, Gitea, SonarQube and Rancher
• Strong team player with the ability to troubleshoot issues, assist team members, actively participate in knowledge sharing and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
